The photodom. Artist Residency is designed to support and empower photographers by providing access to essential resources that help bring their creative visions to life. Each quarter, we select two photographers from the New York City area to receive full access to photodom.’s services and facilities, allowing them to develop a new project or expand on an existing body of work.

 

This residency is open to both emerging and established photographers, with a focus on those who are dedicated to pushing creative boundaries, exploring new narratives, and using photography as a powerful medium for storytelling.

What Residents Receive

Each selected artist will receive:
  • Up to 30 hours of studio & darkroom access – Shoot, process, and print your work with full access to our facilities.

  • Up to $500 in film processing credit – Develop and scan your work in-house with our professional lab including C-41, B&W, E-6 and ECN-2 processing.

  • Up to $300 in film – Receive a selection of our photodom. film stock available in 35mm and 120 formats.

  • $300 in camera rental credit – Experiment with new formats and gear to bring your project to life from our arsenal of film and video cameras.

  • Creative & Community Support – Connect with the Photodom team and our creative network to gain guidance and exposure.

Who Can Apply?

This residency is open to photographers who:
  • Are based in the New York City area and can commute to photodom.

  • Have a clear project or creative direction they want to explore

  • Are committed to using the residency period to produce new work

  • Are open to sharing their process and final work through photodom.’s platforms
