Archival Storytelling: Show & Tell with Shay Waugh

June 25 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm EDT

Join us for an evening of conversation exploring the ways photographs, family archives, oral histories, and cultural artifacts preserve memory across generations.

Hosted and curated by photographer and archivist Shay Waugh, this gathering brings together artists, photographers, archivists, and cultural workers from across the Caribbean diaspora to share personal archival materials and the stories connected to them. Through photographs, documents, heirlooms, and family histories, speakers will reflect on identity, migration, belonging, and the role archives play in shaping how we understand ourselves and our communities.

This night centers the materials and memories that inform our lives: the photos tucked away in family albums, the stories passed down through relatives, and the cultural histories that continue to influence the way we create, remember, and connect. Whether you’re an artist, photographer, archivist, researcher, or simply someone curious about your own family history, this event offers an opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue.

Space is limited. RSVP encouraged.
