Darkroom 101: Develop & Print Your First Roll

In this beginner-friendly darkroom workshop, you’ll hand-develop a roll of black & white film from start to finish, then step into the darkroom to create a contact sheet of your images and print your favorite frame. You’ll leave with a real, physical print you made yourself — plus a solid foundation in the darkroom process you can build on. No prior darkroom experience needed.

What to Bring:

• 1 roll of exposed B&W 35mm film (HP5, Tri-X, T-Max, Kentmere — any standard B&W film works. Do not bring C-41 chromogenic film like Ilford XP2.)
• Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting chemistry on
• A notebook if you want to take notes
• Your curiosity
